 Jake Hodge Foundation Tournament

The 2018 Jake Hodge Tournament set a record raising $42,850 dollars. 22 teams participated in beautiful, but warm weather. Tournament MVP went to Jase Felker and Oliver Parker of Tiger Baseball. Tiger Baseball was dominant throughout the event and captured their first Jake Hodge title defeating Scared Hitless in the final. A devotional service by Brandon Sigler highlighted Sundays final day. The surprise of the tournament were the newcomers' Caldwell 9U All Stars. The All Stars made it to the semifinals, bowing out to Tiger Baseball. These 9U kids had the most exciting games of the tournament in a best of three game series with the Christian County Cubs. Each game was a one run affair. Another team of note were the Fredonia Girls who made it to the playoffs in their first year. The girls from Fredonia also raised over $1,700 dollars for the event. Other playoff teams included the Barrel Heads who made it to the semifinals, and 2015 champion McCrew. Brian Shemwell, and Bryce Thomas tied for the tourney HR lead with 4.
